This is about the cabin featured in the 2013 film. You might be looking for The Knowby Cabin from the original trilogy.
The Allen Cabin was a remote cottage owned by the Allen family. Nestled deep in the woods and far away from civilization, the cabin served as the location of choice by a group of five friends for a weekend intervention and detox of Mia Allen.
The first appearance of the cabin was in Fede Alvarez's 2013 film Evil Dead.
History[]
Very little information is available on the history of the cabin itself, though at some point it was acquired (either through direct purchase or gifted by another family member) to the mother of David and Mia Allen. The three members of the Allen family, along with their pet dog named Grandpa, would vacation at the cabin during the summer. After David and Mia's mother died after being sent to an insane asylum, the two children did not return to the cabin for several years.
At some time during this period of the family's absence from the property, the cabin was used by a local family to perform a "cleansing ritual" on a teenage girl who was possessed by a Deadite.
The Allen children reunited at the cabin for what was to be Mia's most recent attempt to quit her drug habit, bringing along their mutual friends Olivia, Eric, and Natalie. Shortly after their arrival, they discovered the remnants of the ritual in the cabin's cellar, along with a strange book and shotgun nearby.
Due to Eric reading a passage from the book aloud, one by one the humans were claimed in the night by the Taker of Souls and transformed into Deadites. As the book mentions fire as one of the methods for saving the souls of those who fall victim to the monster, David laid a trail of gasoline throughout the halls. The cabin began to burn after David shot a gas can inside the living room, and was later still ablaze as Mia did battle with "The Abomination" and the morning sun began to rise.
What happened to the cabin following this incident remains unknown.
Layout/Rooms[]
The Allen Cabin had a large living room (where the trap door leading into the cellar was located), a kitchen, a bathroom, and three bedrooms.
Surrounding The Cabin[]
The Workshed[]
Located near the cabin was a small tool shed, containing various equipment for property maintenance. A fox hole hidden under some surrounding shrubbery allowed access to the shed's interior via a large hole in the wooden floor.
The Well[]
A stone well was located on to the right of the cabin, next to a rusted Oldsmobile.
