Sally Bowline was a criminal defense lawyer who represented Ash Williams during his incarceration at Sunny Meadows Asylum following his arrest for the alleged slaughter of several people at a remote cabin in the woods. She would later become inadvertently caught in a plot by Doctor Vladimir Reinhard to harness the power of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis to conquer the world.
Sally's first and only appearance was in the 2005 video game Evil Dead Regeneration. She was voiced by Nika Futterman.
Biography[]
Sally Bowline first encountered Ash Williams shortly after his arrest after being selected as his court-appointed defense lawyer. Williams explained his situation to Bowline, about his encounters with the malevolent forces of evil awakened in the woods, but she (like many others) did not believe his story. After this, Sally began working on an appeal for him, and Ash was placed in the Sunny Meadows Asylum for the time being.
The Sunny Meadows Incident[]
Six months after their initial meeting, Sally began investigating Ash's outlandish story, and persuaded a janitor at Sunny Meadows to steal Ash's file and any associated bits of "evidence" that could be found in the office of Doctor Reinhard. The janitor came through on the deal and gave Sally the requested documents and items, one of which being the journal of the late Professor Raymond Knowby. Sally skimmed through Knowby's journal, and came to the realization that Williams was telling the truth about his supernatural encounter months prior. Immediately upon this revelation, Sally visited Ash inside the asylum to tell him personally about the conversion of her beliefs, and that she was going to present the journal to the proper authorities in the hopes to get Williams released.

It was shortly after Sally left the facility that all hell broke loose inside the asylum, as Doctor Reinhard used the Necronomicon to awaken the Kandarian Demon. The intangible force raced through the building, attacking both staff and patients, either killing them or turning them into Deadites. Bowline, oblivious to the chaos at Sunny Meadows, then became stranded on the side of a mountain road after a mechanical malfunction in her car. For several hours, she combed over Knowby's journal, learning about various monstrosities and incantations the professor found within the Necronomicon during his short time with the book.
Sally is attacked by one of Reinhard's demon minions (Evil Dead Regeneration)
In the early dawn of the following morning, Reinhard dispatched a ghostly entity to find both Sally and Knowby's journal. The demon teleported Sally to another dimension where Reinhard had taken refuge to orchestrate humanity's destruction undistributed. While he initially intended for Bowline to be a scribe and document his actions during this time, Reinhard realized that Sally could be better used as a blood sacrifice that could permanently open a gateway between the worlds of the living and the dead.
Before Reinhard could complete the sacrifice, Ash Williams and his companion Sam arrived, having fought their way out of the asylum and through several Deadite-infested towns before finally coming to this alternate dimension. Sally could only watch from the alter on which she was bound to as the two fought the monstrous Reinhard, eventually coming out victorious in the battle. With the mad doctor stopped, Ash released Sally of her bindings and went in for a kiss, only to stop when he heard the low growl of the Kandarian Demon approaching. The demon attacked Sally and turned her into a Deadite, forcing Ash to quickly slice and dice her with his chainsaw before she could strike.
