“ | When I finally got inside the museum, it was dark and quiet. You know... 'what-the-hell-happens-next' kind of quiet. | „ |

Exterior of the Nathaniel Payne Museum (Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick)
The Nathaniel Payne Museum is a large museum located in the city of Dearborn, Michigan. During the Deadite invasion of Dearborn, the museum was a hotspot of supernatural activity.
The museum's first and only appearance was in the 2003 video game Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick.
History[]
The museum was founded by Nathaniel Payne sometime in mid to late 20th Century. Payne, a collector of "weird artifacts" and an aficionado of the occult, had a secret temple built under the museum for making blood sacrifices.
Around 20 years after the disappearance of Nathaniel Payne, Ash Williams arrived at the museum looking for the Kandarian Summoning Stone after the city of Dearborn was getting overrun with Deadites. Exploring and fighting his way through the museum, Williams eventually found the secret temple located underneath the building and encountered Nathaniel Payne himself, who had been transformed into a monster by the Summoning Stone.

Payne's Underground Temple[]

The final chamber in the underground temple, where Nathaniel Payne himself resided (A Fistful of Boomstick)
Hidden in the walls of the Civil War exhibit in the upper East Wing, Nathaniel Payne's temple could only be accessed by placing five magic crystals into a large steel door. While the decent towards the temple had a cave-like appearance, it was furnished with large bookcases, an elegant dining hall, and had a white marble floor and staircase. The final and lowest room was the temple itself where the monstrous Nathaniel Payne laid dormant.
Notes[]
- Some of the museum's displays (such as stuffed saber-tooth tigers and Civil War soldiers) came to life during the Deadite attack on Dearborn.
- According to a sign in the lobby, the museum is open from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM daily, and guided tours are given every 30 minuets.
