Mr. Roper is a secondary character in the show Ash vs Evil Dead. He debuted in the first episode of the series, El Jefe. He is played by Damien Garvey. He was the store manager at ValueStop.
Biography[]
"El Jefe"[]
Ash arrives at ValueStop where he works to get his check and head out of town. He tells his boss, Mr. Roper, that his friend Eli is sick and has to leave early. Roper reminds him that he knows Eli is Ash's pet lizard and refuses to give him his paycheck until the end of the day. Her orders Ash to take a box of light bulbs to the storage. Ash breaks the box and his co-worker Pablo comes up and offers to help.
Later, Pablo hears his co-worker Kelly calling her father. Pablo comes over and Kelly says that she saw her mother who died six months ago. He sends her out to his bike, but Roper tells him that he's not going anywhere. The Deadite force moves through the parking lot towards Kelly as she tries to start Pablo's motorbike. Pablo runs over and starts it, and they drive off just in time. The force hits Roper instead.
"Bait"[]
After being attacked by Deadites at his trailer park, Ash goes outside to duct-tape the bullet holes and prepare to drive off. A Deadite possessed Mr. Roper is lurking in the shadows, but retreats when Kelly drives off on Pablo's motorcycle. Pablo comes out and tells Ash that Kelly took the Necronomicon with her. He offers to take Ash to Kelly's dad's place, and Ash agrees. As Ash and Pablo drive to the house, Ash drinks another beer. He assures Pablo that he did fine in his first fight against a Deadite, just as Roper leaps over the back seat. The car swings back and forth on the road, and Ash wrestles with Roper while Pablo tries to steer. Pablo finally stabs Roper in the head with a beer bottle, but the Deadite is unaffected. It slams Pablo into the dashboard, and Ash grabs the broken beer bottle and stabs it into Roper's neck repeatedly. Pablo brakes the car to a halt, and Ash shoves the Deadite's head out the window so a passing car can decapitate it. The two men keep driving and Pablo admits that he thinks Ash is cool. Ash gives him a towelette to wipe the blood off with.
