Saw your comment about editing the Kandarian Demon page. You see the buttons at the top freaking the hell out too, huh? Don't (or do) worry about it, I saw it on the Dynamite Wiki this morning, so it's not just here.
I don't think it was the gif since I saw it on pages without any images and on other Wikias. I think the Wiki servers just shit themselves yesterday morning for a little bit, but then things went back to normal. There was probably nothing we could have done about it.
Prehaps it only did it once per user. Like I said, I saw it on the Dynamite Wiki, and then I did an edit on the page like you did, and the problem was fixed. I came over here to see if it was happening here too and I didn't see anything, but apparently you did (or you were the only one who bothered to make a comment about it).
Hey man, I was thinking about creating a new background image for the Wikia based on the new AvED Season 3 poster. I figured since Season 2 has been over for awhile it might be time for a new image. Just wanted to ask you first before I spent some time making it and since you would have to be the guy to install it.
Thanks, man, but while waiting for a reply, I whipped up another background based on the new Ash and Ruby promos that came out a few days ago. See which one you like, and if you want anything changed on them, let me know.
Hi The Cruentus; I'm Amanda with FANDOM's community development team! I'm reaching out to you to see if you are interested in a wiki spiff: I'd like to edit the mobile main page, possibly create a new background skin, and help add new season 3 content once it becomes available. Let me know what you think, and if you want to proceed I can get the ball rolling.
I noticed right away that your community was not yet using Discussions, our Forum feature replacement we developed for our communities last year. We no longer support Special:Forums and will be sun-setting that feature later in the year. In the meantime, we have switched all new communities to Discussions and are manually enabling it on already established communities who are willing to make the change now.
Discussions is a feature that users can use to post questions, thoughts, images, links and even videos. They can upvote posts and even share them on social media. Users can edit their posts for the first 24 hours, but Admins and Moderators can edit posts anytime. Users can report posts they feel do not comply with our guidelines, or that of the community. Admins and Moderators can remove them. We give you the tools you need. Since the introduction of Discussions, we have seen a pretty big increase in community interaction. You can find more information on Discussions here.
As part of the process, we can import your current Forums into Discussions. Your current Forum can co-exist with Discussions temporarily if necessary but we would prefer to just import them into Discussions when we enable it. The current forum topic would be imported as categories, so everything stays in order. You can learn more about migration here .
Let me know if your community would like to have Discussions enabled and your forums imported. I would be happy to take care of it for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Apologies for not geting back to you, hectic past few weeks. I will have a chat with one of my members to see what they think, as I don't know too much about it to have much of an opinion about it and the only time I used it was on the Vampire diaries wiki which I recall discussions taking me away from the wiki and into sa ort of seperate site which was inconvenient.
Hey man, I was wondering if you have given any more thought to creating disambiguation pages for characters like Circle Hunter pitched back in November. I've been helping out the Dynamite Entertainment Wikia with their Army of Darkness Comics stuff recently and now that it's become a bit more active, they're setting up character disambiguation pages like the Marvel and DC Wikias. I got to thinking about that conversation from Nov. about creating character disambiguation pages here and wanted to know if that was cool or not.
Do you mean splitting the Ash page into different pages for the different versions of him? Yeah I agree with that, I have been thinking of doing that myself but have been busy with another wiki as well. Got a vandal that keeps creating accounts and blocking his ip does not help.
Thanks for responding and giving the go ahead, but there's just one problem thats stopping me: the other Wikias I mentioned (Marvel, DC, Dynamite) all use templates for their disambiguation pages and I have no idea how to create one.
Hey! I'm with Wikia's Community Development team. It seems like you're the most active admin on here so I'm gonna address this to you, but other heavy users are welcome to comment. We're trying to heavily promote you guys for the second season of Ash vs. Evil Dead and show off some of the awesome work you are doing here! I've been sent around to maybe help spruce your homepage up a little bit with some fresh graphic design... I'm here to help with anything you guys might want/need, I'm not here to push stuff on you. I might be making some small cosmetic changes to the homepage just to give you guys options. If you hate anything I'm doing you are welcome to tell me to stop and revert it.
Would you be interested in doing this for another wiki that I could suggest? You have done great so far and there is a wiki I would like to see have news/twitter feeds and the kind of style you see on the main page.
Hello! As you can tell, I'm not a big editor here. However, I've noticed that character pages contain information about separate incarnations of the same character in the same article (ex. Ash from the AoD comics in the page for Ash of the main canon). I'm here to propose an idea for you. Would you think it's a good idea to create pages for each major incarnation of characters from different canons?
Examples using Ash would include: Ash Williams, Ash Williams (Army of Darkness comic series), Ash Williams (THQ video game series), etc.
I propose this because this system works well on other wikis, such as the Walking Dead Wiki. It keeps information about each version of a character in its own space, with no canon confusion. Thoughts?
It is not a bad idea at all, and I agree with your logic but I would need to see if such multiple pages are truly needed, there would need to be enough information on the character from those alternate events to warrant their own page (admittedly my knowledge of the comics is lacking since I have only played the last two games and watched the movies and series) though if the main canon page was to be stretched with too much info then it would have to be done ( I will take a look at that right now)
I will be considering this, thank you for the suggestion.
I hope you don't mind me throwing my two cents in, but perhaps we could have a page like this, where you have the main version of a character at the top with a breif overview, a link to the main version's page, and links to alternate versions down below.
Aside from normal admin stuff - like being friendly to newcomers and keeping the site running - the only thing that would change would be the addition of the footer added to the bottom of the main page ;)
Jason goes to Hell IS a direct sequel and follows manhattan and neither the cast nor the crew have ever made an official statement that if Jason X is canon or non-canon, but Jason goes to Hell IS a direct sequel
Jason goes to hell is not a direct sequel, it does not continue straight after the events of manhattan otherwise there would be an explanation why Jason went from being a child to an adult again but it doesn't. JGTH starts with Jason suddenly an adult again with no direct references to the last film whatsoever. previous films always showed where Jason was last killed etc
Yes it is a direct sequel and yes it DOES continue after the events of Manhattan and the scene when Jason was a child wasn't real, and it was Rennie and Sean's hallucinations, they had numerous hallucinations and Jason being a child was one of them, Jason was washed away by the toxic waste it didn't turn him into a kid that was just Sean and Rennie's hallucinations
That is your asssumption which may or may not be true but JGTH is still not a direct sequel, it doesn't continue from the previous film, it starts somewhere else with an unnown time period.
All previous films continued from each other i.e Tommy drowns Jason, Jason still underwater in the next film where Tina resurrects him, Tina and her father drowns Jason, Jason still underwater in the next film..see where I am going? Jason's appearance in JGTH is not explained or shown, he is just inexplicably resurrected with another hockey mask, and a lot of battle damage suggest activity for years, it doesn't continue where Manhattan left off. JGTH and JX and FVJ are sequels/prequels but they are not direct like the others because they do NOT continue from each other. I will say FVJ is more direct that JX because of the glove thing but that was widely know as just a teaser until they actually made the FVJ movie.
Yea it IS a direct sequel and it DOES continue from the previous film and where it left off, and its not an assumption, child Jason was just a hallucination, it was confirmed that it was and that Jason was washed away by the toxic waste in the sewers and it is not stated that Jason x is either canon or non-canon, non of the cast or crew have ever made an official statement on it. Child Jason was NOT real it was another one of Sean's and Rennie's hallucinations and Jason could've just gotten another hockey mask. And I know that Jason went in underwater at the end of the 6th and 7th films, but at the end of the 8th one, he was never turned into a child, that was just another hallucination, what the toxic waste really did to him was wash him away. Jason X is not direct if there's a movie that isn't direct. Now I don't want hear any more of that stuff from you, ever.

I wasn't telling you what you can or can't say, I was saying that the toxic waste didn't turn Jason back into a kid, it washed him away and because of that, JTGH is a direct sequel, and don't tell me to watch my tone
