Thank you for the offer, but I think i'll decline, in all honesty I wouldn't know what to do if I was an admin. I enjoy just being a regular contributor, and I figured somebody has to keep updating this site since there's always new Evil Dead material coming out like the TV show, comics (my specialty), and collectables.
Hi, I seem to either be a little a rusty or somehow there doesn't to be a way to remove certain categories such as those that don't have a page created.
On this wiki we don't use numbers to identify seasons so the categories thats needs to be kept is the ones that say "Season Two episodes" but there is already one called "Season 2 Episodes and I can't seem to get rid of it, it doesn't even have a page really. I created one just to delete it to see if it remove the episodes connected to it but it hasn't. Same for the first season episodes as well. I want all "Season 1 Episodes" and "Season 2 Episodes" removed. I have tried to using source mode and the category tab but it doesn't show up as being on the page. Any ideas?
Sorry, dude. I don't know anything about that moderator stuff. I did find this on that Fandom menu at the bottom of every page. I don't know if you can find the solution to your problem there, but if not, i'd contact one of these guys and see if they could help.
You don't need to be a mod to remove categories, you should just be able remove them when editing a page but the problem with the "Season 2 Episodes" category is that in edit mode, its not even on the page to find and delete, yet when in viewing mode its right there at the bottom.
I may contact central about this. Thanks for info.
I know you said you didn't want to be an admin but I have given you at least content mod status as that way you won't have to rely on me to lock or delete pages as due to my busy schedule keeping me away, my activity here is less than ideal. You will now be able to do it. You will also be able to rollback pages in the event of serious vandalism.
Rollback differs from reverting/undoing in that rather than undoing a single edit, it will revert to the last user who edited before the one you are reverting. Also rollbacks don't show up in recent activity nor does the edit/vandalism you rollbacked, it essentially wipes their activity from the feed, denying them any attention.
Thanks you. I'm sorry I haven't been editing here for awhile, I've been working on other Wikis, mostly the Dynamite Entertainment Wiki, adding Army of Darkness Comics stuff, that and there's not a whole lot going with the Evil Dead franchise between AvED seasons (except the comics, but even those are starting to become more scarce). I'll do my best to try to keep this place in tip-top shape if you're not around. Thanks you once again.
It seems to me like they want it to be like their own version Reddit (upvoting, video sharing, and discussions). So I checked it out on the DC Comics Wiki and it seems to be working out for them. I see no harm in giving it a try, but it's your call.
Thank you for responding so soon! I added a few videos, and, because I don't want to cause any trouble, I decided to stop for now and wait to hear from you again (in case you want the videos removed). Having to revert edits (made even with good intentions) on a lot of pages can be exhausting or just annoying.
