The police and lawmen make frequent appearances in the world of Evil Dead. Most notably in the series Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Biography

Amanda Fisher represented the police force throughout most of season one.

In the show, the cops and detectives operate just like in real life. They are usually skeptical towards Ash at first and are an obstacle to him in achieving his goal.

During Season One, Amanda investigates and later, searches for Ash. She suspects Ash of being the one who's behind all the grizzly murders happening around lately. That includes her partner Carson. She is usually one step behind Ash's plans, but sometimes they paths cross each other. Later on, she sees with her own eyes that Ash is not villain in all this, but the hero. Instead of arresting him, she joins on his quest to save mankind from evil again. At the end of the season things turn upside down for the detective. She is brutally murdered by Evil Ash at the cabin and she later returns as a deadite thus joining Ash's other sweethearts whom he lost to his battle againts the evil dead.

The second season takes place in Elk Grove, a small village in Michigan. The town has a sheriff in the cynical and suspicious Thomas Emery. Unlike Amanda, he doesn't sympathize with Ash and remains a thorn in our hero's side. He dies at the abandoned asylum, his own daughter killing him and leaving his body to rot there.

The third season doesn't have any important lawmen, excluding a minor character named Deputy Masters who shows up only briefly a few times.

Thomas Emery was a secondary antagonist and the sheriff of Elk Grove during season two.
