Jessica was the girlfriend of Caleb and the cousin of Teresa. After discovering her apartment's parking garage covered with blood and gore, Jessica was attacked by the Kandarian Demon, resulting in her slow transformation into a Deadite.
Jessica first appeared in the 2023 film Evil Dead Rise. She was portrayed by Anna-Maree Thomas.
Biography
There is very little information in regards to Jessica's life prior to the incident at the lake, though at some point she moved into in Monde Apartments in Los Angeles, California, where she lived on the building's fifth floor.
Discovery In The Garage
Following a night of a thunderstorm and a massive earthquake which shook the Los Angeles area, Jessica headed down to the parking garage of the Monde Apartments building with the intent of picking up her cousin Teresa for a vacation at Caleb's father's lakeside cabin. After getting into her car, Jessica noticed that the vehicle directly behind her was covered in blood. Unbeknownst to her, the garage (along with the apartment's 14th floor) had been the setting of a horrific Deadite attack after one of the building's occupants had accidentally awakened an ancient demonic spirit the night before. Finding more gore around the garage, Jessica's hands trembled as she began to call the authorities, only to be attacked by the same demon which had instigated the previous night's events before she could reach them.
At The Lake
Not much is known about what happened between the attack at the apartment and Jessica's arrival at the lake, though she managed to pick up Teresa and arrived at their destination unharmed. Shortly after her arrival, Jessica took ill, and remained at the cabin while Teresa and Caleb hung out by the lake. After getting annoyed with Caleb's camera drone buzzing around her, Teresa headed back to the cabin to check on Jessica, only for her cousin to suddenly snap to life and began reading passages from Wuthering Heights without even looking at the book itself. Jessica then collapsed onto the floor and began to seize and shake momentarily before abruptly stopping. As Teresa leaned over her, Jessica's transformation into a Deadite had finally taken hold, and she proceeded to scalp Teresa by pulling on her ponytail.
Teresa staggered back outside to the dock where Caleb was, with Jessica slowly giving chase. Caleb looked in horror as Teresa collapsed in front of him as Jessica grabbed the hovering drone, shoving it's propellers against her face and throwing herself into the lake. Caleb jumped in after her, only for Jessica to rip his head and neck off his body and throw it back onto the dock behind Teresa. Still shuttering in agony, Teresa watched as Jessica arose from the lake, hovering above the water courtesy of the dark spirit possessing her.
What happened to Jessica following these events remains unknown.

- According to Anna-Maree Thomas, another actress had already been cast as Jessica, but had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic and New Zealand's strict lock-down procedures.[1]
