Jake is one of the locals, appearing in Evil Dead II
The "Hellbillies" are a family of local folk living in the woods surrounding The Cabin. Jake, and Bobby Joe are the first of them to make an appearance (Evil Dead II) in the franchise.
Evil Dead: Hail to the King[]
In Evil Dead: Hail to the King, the Hellbillies are more clearly represented (as Deadites). Ash fights their possessed selves in the game, and also finds the Boomstick in their house (Called "Hellbillyland" in the game). He also finds that particular family's Grandmother locked in the attic, who then mutates into a giant spider.
Professor Knowby[]
According to his journal entries, Prof. Knowby was frightened of the Hellbillies, and suspected them of stealing pages of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis.
