Giant Ash was a large Deadite doppelganger of Ash Williams created in 1300 AD. A creature comprised of undead flesh and Ash's blood, the giant later became the "husband" of the Deadite-possessed Sheila.

Biography[]
Creation[]
Ash Williams, with the accompany of Sheila, arrived in the graveyard which the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis resided. Following Ash's previous visit to 1300 AD, the book had returned to it's "resting place", now surrounded by five fake duplicates. After attempting to touch one of these books, the pages of these texts flew into the air and proceeded to slice the skin of Ash, gathering little drops of blood on them. Ash eventually managed to deduce which book was legitimate, and tried to escape before realizing he had forgotten the words. Deadites began to rise from their graves much like they had done before, but now instead of attacking the two living trespassers, they proceeded to shamble towards the altar where the fake books rested. Picking up the fake Necronomicons and licking Ash's blood, the Deadites began to melt together into one being, a giant monster wearing the face of Ash himself.
Giant Ash gave chase to Ash and Sheila through the Dark Forest until they arrived at the camp of the Deadite Wise Man and his army of the dead. During the pursuit, Ash managed to drive his chainsaw into the giant's skull, though it didn't slow the creature down at all. As Giant Ash was focused on getting the book, the real Ash tossed the tome to the Wise Man and rode to safety. With the large monster now focused on the evil wizard, Giant Ash picked up the old man and tossed him around until he let go the book. With the Wise Man now saved and turned human, Giant Ash took the Necronomicon and retreated back into the forest, only for his little counterpart to come back and slay him.
Resurrection[]
The resurrection of the Giant Ash (Ash And The Army of Darkness #7)
Giant Ash was later resurrected by the Deadite Sheila following her "inheriting" the Wise Man's Deadite army upon her possession. Using various parts of various corpses from around the graveyard, a new patchwork body was created, with his head being the only original part. Sheila then claimed the giant as her "husband" and personal guard. As Giant Ash was made from the "pure-hearted blood" of the original Ash, he aided the forces of evil in finding The Grove, where the real Ash currently was. Ash was captured and nearly decapitated by his giant doppelganger, but quickly broke free and sliced his monstrous double in half.
While Giant Ash was not killed during this encounter, it should be noted that he was not seen during the reign of the Faceless Man shortly after, implying he died sometime between these incidents.
Powers & Abilities[]
- "Soul Smelling": Giant Ash was able to "sniff out" the soul of his good little counterpart, tracking him through the Dark Forest.
Equipment[]
- Axe: Giant Ash carried a giant battle-axe during his time as Deadite Sheila's servant.
