Fortnite is an online battle royal multiplayer video game released and developed by Epic Games in 2017. Beginning in 2018, Fortnite introduced the "Collaboration" concept, which brings in characters and elements from other per-existing franchises (ex. movies, television, comic books, and video games).
On October 18th, 2022, the game's various social media accounts announced that Ash Williams from Evil Dead 2 would be available as an officially licensed alternate player skin for the Fortnitemares 2022 event launching that day.
