Evil Dead 2 Cinestory is a 304-page graphic novel released and published by Jasco Games in October, 2020. The book is an adaptation of the 1987 film Evil Dead II.
Differences From The Film[]
Unlike the previous two adaptations of the Evil Dead films (Army of Darkness and The Evil Dead), the Evil Dead 2 Cinestory is a word for word and scene for scene adaptation that does not depict any new scenes or dialog not featured in the final cut of the Evil Dead II film.

- Presumably due to issues regarding likeness rights, all characters (with the exception of Ash, Ed Getley, and Bobby Joe) feature minor modifications to their appearance:
- Linda and Annie Knowby (who are both blonde in the film) are given orange hair.
- The photograph of Annie on Professor Knowby's desk depicts her with black hair.
- Raymond Knowby has a beard in mustache in the "flashback" in Castle Kandar, but is later seen with a soul patch in the cabin.
- Henrietta Knowby (in her human form) is given brown hair.
- Jake is given a full head of purple hair, along with a purple mustache and soul patch.
- Linda and Annie Knowby (who are both blonde in the film) are given orange hair.
- Scott Spiegel is not listed in the credits for co-writing the Evil Dead II screenplay.
- One accidental "continuity error" occurs when Ash sees the "Hero From The Sky" page of the Necronomicon. In the film, Annie explains that The Hero was prophesied to destroy the evil, with Ash remarking "He didn't do a very good job". In the Cinestory, Annie simply states that "In 1300 AD, they called this man 'The Hero From The Sky'.", and Ash responding with "Didn't do a very good job", despite Annie not stating what the hero had actually done.
- Upon it's initial release, the book was priced at $40, making it the most expensive physical single issue of an Evil Dead related comic as of 2020 (with The Army of Darkness: Ash The Author digital comic coming in second at $30).
