Ash vs Evil Dead is a TV series developed by Sam & Ivan Raimi, Robert Tapert and Bruce Campbell with Campbell starring in the series as Ash Williams.[1][2][3]

Plot[]

“Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons – personal and literal.“[4]

Production[]

Ash vs. Evil Dead ran from 2015 until 2018 and all together had three full seasons.The series began filming in the spring of 2015 in New Zealand. The next two seasons were shot at the same studio with mostly the same cast and crew. Due to the low ratings of the third season, the show got ultimately cancelled by Starz. The last episode aired on April 29, 2018.

  • Ash vs Evil Dead features cast members that have previously worked with each other before such as Lucy Lawless, who starred in Xena: Warrior Princess where Bruce Campbell had a recurring role as Autolycus, king of thieves.
    • Ted Raimi who also starred in Xena: Warrior Princess as Joxer as well other roles within the Evil Dead films will be joining the cast in season two.
    • Episodes have been directed by Michael Hurst, who played Iolaus in both series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess.
