Ash Williams was an experienced monster-fighter who aided the Occult Studies Club during several "cases" involving the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis and the Deadites.
This version of Ash first appeared in the 2017 PC game Phantom Halls as part of officially licensed downloadable content based on Evil Dead II. Though the character does speak in very short phrases, his voice actor is not credited.
Biography[]
Years ago, Ash Williams journeyed to a small cabin in the woods, and encountered the malicious spirits known as Deadites. The price of his survival came at the cost of his right hand, which he had lopped off with a chainsaw. After accidentally ending up in the Middle Ages while trying to stop the forces of evil, Ash returned to his proper time a battle-hardened demon slayer.
Feeling as if there was some unfinished business at the cabin, Williams decided to revisit the woods in order to put down the Deadites once and for all. While there, he encountered several members of the Occult Studies Club (a group mostly comprising of students from Corman Valley High School), who were doing their own investigation into the cabin and the surrounding woods. Teaming-up with a few of the club members, Ash destroyed the Necronomicon and killed the Deadite Henrietta Knowby using the Kandarian Dagger. When the cabin had been cleared of the monstrosities around it, Williams later tracked down his evil clone to an abandoned mansion, following a series of clues throughout that led to a confrontation between the two "brothers".
Ash continued aiding the Occult Studies Club with the occasional mission, fighting giant bugs, ghosts, zombies, and other creatures that go bump in the night.

- Chainsaw Attack: Ash can unleash a strong chainsaw attack, though it has a long recovery period before it can be used again.
Abilities[]
Using "Skill Points" acquired by completing missions, Ash can be upgraded with various abilities unique to his character alone.
- "Boomsticks Away!": Ash can reload shotguns instantly with no cool-down.
- "Bang For Your Buck": After unlocking "Boomsticks Away!", "Bang For Your Buck" allows Ash to do +1 damage with shotguns.
- "Buck Stopper": Any shotgun used by Ash has a 100% chance of knocking back an enemy.
- "Kingslayer": Ash delivers +2 damage to all boss enemies.

- This is the second officially licensed version of Ash not to be voiced by Bruce Campbell (with Poker Night 2 being the first), though Campbell did approve of his likeness being used.
